What do you all store you AG girls in?

problem was I want it taller then the measurements they make, so I was wondering what do you all have? We just my daughter her first AG doll Marisol it came last week and we love her! I "accidently" bid on a pre-mattel Samantha the next day I really didn't think I would win and guess what I did lol,I hope she looks as good as the picture I won with 2 seconds left for $34.00, I was shocked!
anyway if you have any pics of where you put your girls would love to see them

My dolls all sit on the top of a bookcase (although they 3 have slowly made their way onto the living room shelf)

But I actually just had my husband build a nightstand that I designed with my dolls in mind. Instead of a flat top it has a riser so I can put 3 dolls on each level, and the other 3 will go in the living room. The riser is a hinge top drawer so I can place accessories/shoes in it and there is an open shelf that I will place 2 baskets on for more storage. Underneath that is 2 doors that open to 2 shelves that were made with the idea of keeping the girls clothes on them.

I plan to paint it blue with a floral stencils, somewhat like Kirsten's nightstand.

Right now I have all their clothes in 9 plastic bags (by doll) with an index card saying what is in there and what outfit it goes in. These plastic bags are divided into two of the doll boxes.

But the bookcase I have the 9 dolls on is only about 2.5 feet x 1 foot so they all sit/stand in a very small space. The boxes of clothes just go under the bed.

I've really been eyeing that wardrobe. I think it would be great for my Kirsten. Please give a review if you get it!

I am going to see if my friends dad who is a carpenter can build me something just like that for DD but like maybe 48 inches high and a little deeper, I thought that would be a cute Christmas gift as I can see that I am going to enjoy collecting these dolls with her [img]wink.gif[/img]
The nice thing about that seller is he keeps on making these and selling them so I am sure if I decide to go with that one I can!

I have that armoire! I bought it at a gift store in New Hampshire. You can see it in the master bedroom if you take my house Virtual Tour (link is in my signature). I keep my Carpatina collection in it and it fits quite well. Three dolls pose on the top and one in the space in the middle.

I saw that armoire the other day. It is neat looking!

Right now Kelly's dolls are on doll stands in her room (when they are not in their beds or something). For outfits, I bought some of those small, plastic, three-drawer chests from Sterilite (Target, Wal-Mart, etc.) and lined them up on the shelves in Kelly's closet. The little drawers are just the right size to hold an outfit and accessories. We keep one outfit in each drawer. I'm going to label each drawer front with a small picture of what is inside. (I was thinking Curt's site would be a great place to print the pictures from... THANKS CURT!! [img]smile.gif[/img] )

I have a huge trunk I bought on sale at the Bombay company. For inside, I bought some photo-type storage boxes, where I keep the clothes, organized by time period (roughly). Then, there are two deep trays that fit in the top. In those, I keep shoes, hats, and tiny accessories. All four of my dolls also fit in the trunk, with some creativity. I'd post a picture, but it's a couple thousand miles away right now :-(

Since she does not put a doll in the middle, DH put another rod in that area that can now accommodate the "party dresses" and Lissie's longer items.

My dolls all stay on display, and their "stuff" is in my office in the basement. I have all the dresses hanging from AG hangers and individually covered with plastic bags (like dry cleaners bags)
Then I hanged the dresses from a "human" hanger.

Hats: in a box
Shoes and accessories: in a platic "chest of drawers"
Fliers and other paper stuff: AG club box.

I have Samantha's trunk, that I used to store my "extra" Sam in until 1. I traded her with my sister for Molly, and 2. I have all of Samantha's clothes and there is no where near enough room for a doll in there.

Trunks are a great way to store the dolls, but I also have the original boxes, which are stacked in the closet. They hold up really well, and they are a cheap easy way to keep your dolls safe. Also, I think it is much easier to handle a single box, then that big honkin' trunk.

Congrats on your E-Bay win, and I hope that the trunk you won works out well!
